Making the Change, is the North East's first ever Social Enterprise Framework, was announced at the Built to Achieve conference in April.

The Framework aims to support, develop and grow the Social Enterprise sector in the region. It outlines the pririties for Social Enterprise in the North East, with clear objectives to build on its success.

Making the Change was developed by a partnership of Social Enterprise Organisations and Business and Enterprise North East, with the aim of working together to grow business, inspire new social entrepreneurs and exceed the national averages for social enterprise across the region by 2015 and become the region that leads the Social Enterprise agenda in the UK.

"This Framework will enable Social Enterprises and entrepreneurs, wider third sector organisations and supporting stakeholders to play an active part in making change happen for Social Enterprise in the North East." - Roy Stanley, Chair of Business and Enterprise North East.
